November is the month where the United Nations’ 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based violence happens around the world. It begins on Friday 25 November and ends on Saturday 10 December. Many churches are involved in bringing awareness of the issues of Gender-based Violence to the attention of the general public. This year Dublin & Glendalough Mothers’ Union is hosting a number of events:

A Seminar: “Understanding Gender-based Violence” will take place on 26 November in All Hallows College, Dublin City University. D09N920. It will be led by Prof. Patricia Barker, Dublin Rape Crisis Centre and Lydia Monda from Bishops’ Appeal.
